By Alain Blais, Global Health editorThe best way to enjoy the freshest food in a vegan diet is to eat only meat, dairy and eggs, a new study has found.
The International Meat Standards Organization (IMSO) has said that meat and dairy are the main sources of animal protein, while eggs are essential for protein digestion.
But, with many vegans choosing to reduce the amount of meat they eat, the IMSO is concerned about the consequences of an increasing number of people choosing to avoid these ingredients.
“Meat consumption is not just about consumption.
Meat consumption affects the health of people and the environment, and contributes to many of the environmental impacts that humans face,” IMSOC spokesperson David Verender said.”
Vegans and vegetarians consume far more meat and produce than non-vegans and omnivores combined.”
But, it is not the only way to eat vegetarian food.
Vereder said that “the benefits of vegetarian eating are also seen with reduced stress, lower body weight, and improved mood and mental health.”
In the study, the team looked at more than 6,000 adults from the United Kingdom.
They looked at the health, psychological, and nutritional status of the participants, and the number of vegetarian and vegan participants.
“We found that vegetarians who followed a vegetarian diet were less likely to have a low BMI, were less at risk of heart disease and diabetes, and had lower blood pressure,” the researchers said.
The study also found that people who had a high body mass index (BMI) were more likely to be vegetarian.
“The researchers note that the findings of this study are broadly applicable to vegans and vegetians, and may not apply to omnivorous people, as there are some differences in dietary habits and diets across countries,” Verener said.
According to IMSCO, more than 70 percent of the people surveyed said that they were vegetarian.
But, the study also showed that people that were vegetarians had better quality of life and were less stressed.
In a statement, the British Dietetic Association (BDA) said it was “very concerned” by the results.
“While many people are eating more vegetarian food, there is a danger that those who have an increased risk of obesity, cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes are eating too much meat, and therefore putting themselves at greater risk of the health consequences of their diet,” the statement read.
“Many people are still choosing not to eat meat, but it is important to note that meat is not only the main source of animal proteins, but is also the most harmful source of carbon dioxide.”
